Practices:
Practices will begin Monday, February 22, 2010. We will be inside the gym until daylight saving time change (March 14) at a minimum, and going outside depending on field conditions with the melting snow. Please see the schedule for practice times.

Games:
Home games will be played at Gates Soccer Complex at Colorado Mountain College Spring Valley Campus and at the High School Stadium Field. Directions to the Gates Soccer Complex are here. Schedules are available on the schedules page.

Player Fees and Registration:
The program is new to CHSAA with the School District, and it must be self supported for two years without any funding from the schools. Player fees are anticipated to be about $150 depending on the success of the Coupon Book fundraiser. Make checks out to "GSHS Lacrosse" and deliver to the High School, attention Craig Denney.
Players must fill out all of the the school registration forms available at the high school. Contact Craig Denney, Athletic Director 970.384.5553 or the main office at 970.384.5555 for obtaining forms.
Equipment:
In addition to the player fees, protective equipment and a stick needs to be purchased. Here is a list of the required equipment and typical costs:
- Helmet - $100-$200 Only Purchase a White Helmet
- Shoulder Pads - $25-$50
- Elbow Pads - $15-$40
- Gloves - $35-$100 Only Purchase Black Gloves
- Rib Pads (Optional) - $35-$80
- Lacrosse Stick - $35-$100
- Athletic Supporter with plastic cup - $10-$30
- Mouthguard - $1-$5 Mouthguard must be an opaque color (clear is not allowed). Please purchase a few extra, as these get lost easily.
The School colors are White/Red. We will standardize on White Helmets and Black Gloves as a standard color. For those who have already purchased equipment, you do not need to replace with new equipment.
Equipment can be purchased at Sports Authority, although I understand that our local store has a poor inventory. The Avon store has better inventory. Additionally, Denver has some excellent stores that specialize in lacrosse. Contact information for the stores is listed below:
